A rope team of mountaineers climbs a snowy Alpine slope

25 years. The same spirit of teamwork.

A solution that lasts is built with the people who bring it to life. Since 2001, this belief has guided our work in energy, mobility and public administration.

AI is changing our tools and our daily work. Twenty-five years of projects remind us what keeps a transformation on track: understanding your business, speaking openly and staying by your side as your needs evolve.

What connects us

Choices that commit us.

For its 20th anniversary, Softcom took its employees on an adventure to climb 20 peaks of 4,000 metres.

No other company in the sector does this. That shared ascent says something true about Softcom: you do not reach a summit alone. You go roped together, at the pace of the slowest person, supporting each other through the difficult stretches.

The carabiner, our new logo, symbolises that bond: quiet, essential, the link that holds when things get challenging.

  1. 2001

    Choosing Swiss roots

Benoît Rouiller and Rodrigue Zbinden establish Softcom in Fribourg to provide consulting and software development throughout Switzerland. Understanding business challenges and the local context is part of the work from the outset.

  2. 2009

    Seeing what’s coming

Eight years after founding Softcom, Benoît Rouiller and Rodrigue Zbinden establish Morphean, which develops a SaaS product for businesses in the security sector. The company combines data, machine-learning algorithms, cloud infrastructure and IoT to support the transformation of the industry in Europe.

  3. 2020

    Making our commitments measurable

Softcom applies several ISO standards. Data protection, information security, quality and the environment share a common framework: requirements that shape our practices and their continuous improvement.

  4. 2021

Learning to rely on each other

For our 20th anniversary, a shared challenge in the Swiss mountains: climbing 20 peaks above 4,000 metres. After more than a year of preparation, every participant reaches a 4,000-metre summit. An exceptional result, praised by the guides accompanying us, including Jean Troillet. Mutual support, trust and commitment take on a very tangible meaning.

  5. 2024–2026

    Getting closer still

Softcom moves its Lausanne offices to the Unlimitrust Campus in Prilly. In 2026, Softcom opens an office in the Wintower in Winterthur. These new locations reflect our commitment to proximity: being on the ground, close to the businesses and institutions we support. They also reflect a strategic choice: establishing a presence at two sites known for their innovation ecosystems.

The terrain changes.
Our commitments hold firm.

Going deep in three sectors

Energy, mobility, public administration: we keep deepening our knowledge of these three sectors. Every project adds to expertise we retain and share, helping us understand your constraints and bring your organisation the benefit of experience gained elsewhere.

Making proximity real

Professional, human and on the ground: our proximity is lived within your organisation. Understanding your challenges, observing how people work on site and maintaining an open relationship help us build better-fitting solutions with your experts.

Committing for the long term

From scoping to maintenance, stable teams sustain the relationship and the knowledge of your project. Your work continues after go-live: we remain committed to supporting change and passing that knowledge on to your teams.

Creating useful value

An easier public service process, useful information for drivers, a clearer view of a network: results are judged in use. With the same high standards for information security as for business performance.

It started with a meeting.

Benoît Rouiller and Rodrigue Zbinden tell the story of Softcom’s beginnings and the choices that shaped its early years. A look at what set us in motion, from those who were there at the start.
